What: The "X Factor" Season 1 winner's debut single, "Dont Fail Me Now," off her forthcoming, as-yet-untitled debut album
The Rundown: After winning the $5 million "X Factor" prize under mentor Simon Cowell, Melanie's new up-tempo dance track is quite the departure from her go-to performance picks on the show -- the R&B power ballad. Now we know what Amaro was hinting at when she told us, "I'm going to surprise people with what's on the album." The new tune was produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and penned by Livvi Franc. Look out for Melanie's debut album later this year and listen to her new, uplifting club jam below!
