As it happened, "Glee" writers changed the original part, putting a slight snag in the plans, but it's possible they'll invite her back to play another character. If so, Toscano will join fellow "Idol" alum Jessica Sanchez on an impressive list of season four guests that already boasts Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson.
While she awaits her "Glee" fate, Toscano, 23, is looking forward to her turn in "Grace Unplugged." The film tells the story of a young Christian girl trying to make it as an actress, and Pia is due to play Alyssa, a role written with her in mind.
"I'm so excited about my very first acting role in 'Grace Unplugged,'" Toscano told E! "I'm honored to be a part of this amazing film, and my character is a reflection of me, which makes this special for me."
