Pink, Drug Overdose Confession: Singer Shocks With New Admission

Pink has never been shy about her whiskey and cigarette habit, but it's her recent confession about her past experience with drugs that's making headlines now. In an interview for the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, the 32-year-old The Truth About Love creator reveals the truth about her life-changing drug overdose.

The singer spoke on her new role in the upcoming film "Thanks for Sharing," in which she plays a sex addict alongside the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo. "Because I understand addiction," the mother of 15-month-old daughter Willow explained when asked why she was drawn to the role.

"I was a hardcore partyer from 12 to 15," Pink confessed. "[I was] on all the club drugs ... selling Ecstasy and crystal meth and Special K."

The singer says she got her big wake-up call when she was still just a teen. "I overdosed in '95," she revealed. "And then I never took drugs again, ever."

Wow. This certainly sheds some new light on Pink's previous statement about her fear that baby Willow may follow in her footsteps.

I love her independence, her attitude and her creativeness...everything she has done has made her who she is today. A lovely, creative, nuturing soul...----Wealthyloves.c0m--- to meet rich friends in the world.thank GOD she didn't die from the overdose and quit the drugs...and she really is trying to live a healthier life now that she is a Mother and wife - sometimes I always think that those that are the most creative and the souls that are the most sensitive as well and finding trouble and paths of rebellion is just part of their innate nature...but I love Pink,

I've always liked Pink and am glad that she turned her life around and overcame her early struggles, but don't allow your affintity for her to cloud your judgment in terms of overreaching analysis. Being an especially creative and sensitive soul, assuming you can even accurately quantify such elements, does not in any way serve as a legitimate excuse for having been a dissolute drug addict at a mere 13 years old.

Like many celebrities Pink has never been shy about the fact that her childhood and developmental years weren't anything to be particularly proud of, so I don't know why her disclosing that she overdosed at 15 or whatever would come as a surprise to anyone. Adds to the overall legend I suppose, certainly not shocking.

I thought she said she used before? This isn't news to me.
Anyway this is proof that those hard drugs aren't as addicting as the likes of Dr. Drew and Dr. Phil make suckers believe. I knew that.
I took Percocet as prescribed and I never got hooked.

Except the drugs alcohol and nicotine. Well, hopefully she will be able to resolve the issues that led to to addictive behavior.
