"Things are getting very serious between them -- they're a proper couple now," an alleged insider told The Sun of the Brits, who apparently became quite smitten with each other at the Olympics closing ceremony where they both performed earlier this month (August).
"They had met several times in the past, but really got to know each other during the Olympics," the source added.
"People thought Russell was joking at the time, when he said he had a crush on Geri all over again, but it was true," the insider continued. "They just clicked -- they have so much in common."
According to the tabloid, Ginger Spice, 40, and Russell, 37, have been on several dates as of late, including a tour of Hampton Court Palace outside of London, along with the singer's 6-year-old daughter, Bluebell Madonna.
