"New Tat. Stamp of His Mermaid," Gaga wrote along with a photo of a freshly penned anchor tattoo on her left ribcage. "This is SO about Tbear," one fan speculated in response to the post on Gaga's social media site. "AWWW for TAYLOR," another added.
One fan spelled out the connection, explaining, "In the You & I video Yuyi (Gaga) is Taylor's mermaid. Stamp of His Mermaid. This Tattoo is for Taylor!"
It seems the singer's followers may be on to something. Gaga and Taylor met on the set of the singer's "You and I" music video back in July 2011. Gaga portrayed a mermaid character named Yüyi, while Taylor played her hunky, terrestrial love interest.
The potentially love-inspired stamp-for-life follows a somewhat contradictory admission from Gaga. In the new issue of Vogue she insists that she "[doesn't] want to settle down" yet.
