Christina Aguilera, New Album Details Revealed: Singer Unveils Title, Release Date, Teases Lead Single

Kicking off the third season of "The Voice" wasn't enough excitement for Christina Aguilera.

In a Twitter chat this afternoon, the singer announced the first single off her new album. Titled "Your Body," the song will debut Sept. 14. The cover art for the single shows a shimmying Aguilera swathed in a pink sheath. A throwback to her "Genie in a Bottle" days, perhaps?

Christina also revealed the name of her album, Lotus. In a since-deleted tweet, she explained a lotus is "an unbreakable flower that survives under the hardest conditions and still thrives."

While we doubt she is referring to her role as a judge on "The Voice," the new material is personal to the singer. Last month, the "Dirrty" singer said, "In the fashion that I always like to put forth, it's very self-expressive and it's all heartfelt."

She promised fans a sneak peek at the video for "Your Body" if they tune into "The Voice" on Mon., Sept. 17. The announcements were made in the wake of rumors that she might be leaving the singing competition to focus more on her own career. However, the gossip didn't stop fellow "The Voice" judge Cee Lo Green from lending his talents to Lotus, which is out this November.

Hopefully all of the attention on Christina's new album won't ruffle more of "X Factor" producer Simon Cowell's feathers!
