Personally, we've still got "We Found Love" stuck in our heads, but ready or not, Rihanna's newest lead single, "Diamonds," will debut this Wednesday (Sept. 26). As she announced on "Elvis Duran and The Morning Show" at this weekend's iHeartRadio music festival, "Diamonds" is a "happy and hippie record" with a "laid-back" and "hopeful" vibe.
"It gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it," Ri admitted. "The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it's about love and the gears are a little different from what people would expect. I'm excited to surprise them sonically."
Rihanna unveiled two images in promotion of the new track. The first is the single cover artwork -- a white letter "R" comprised of various words and phrases against a black backdrop. The second, pictured above, she shared on Twitter and Instagram along with the caption "Diamonds #whenwillyourfave." Yes, she is rolling a diamond-filled blunt.
What can we say, girlfriend is not a believer of letting the grass grow under her feet.
