"My weight/loss/gain since i was child has tormented me," she confessed on her social networking site Littlemonsters.com "No amount of help has ever healed my pain about it. But YOU have," Gaga told Little Monsters, expressing her gratitude for their role in her new-found body confidence.
But, fan support is not the only source of strength for Gaga. She credits her actor beau Taylor Kinney with encouraging her to hold herself to healthier standards of beauty. "My boyfriend prefers me curvier, when I eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I'm happy. Happier then I've ever been."
"I am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny," Gaga declared in response to recent tabloid taunts about her new figure. "This is who I am. And I am proud at any size. And i love you, and want you to be proud in any form you may take as well. Please don't look for kindness in critics, go where you know the gold is. Here, in [our] hearts."
In addition to the letter to her fans, Gaga urged her Twitter followers to join her in her quest for self-acceptance, writing, "Please sign up for little http://monsters.com and join A BODY REVOLUTION," along with links to the above photos.
