After much speculation about her controversial relationship with "adopted brother"-turned-boyfriend Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina Brown has confirmed rumors of their engagement. The announcement appears in a new promo for the forthcoming Lifetime reality TV series, "The Houstons: On Our Own," starring Whitney Houston's daughter with ex-husband Bobby Brown.
"We're engaged," Bobbi, 19, announces to her family between giggles. The celebrity offspring and her new fiancé, 22, grew up together after Whitney took Gordon in and raised him as her own. That being said, the announcement does not go over well with the Houston family.
Bobbi Kristina's aunt Pat Houston calls the engagement "unacceptable," while her uncle Gary told Gordon, "No one knew that from a God son, you would turn into a boyfriend. No one knew that." The couple went public with their relationship following Whitney Houston's death earlier this year.
"The Houstons: On Our Own," premieres Oct. 24. Watch the promo below.
