Rich Before Fame: These Musicians Were Loaded Before Making It Big

Celebrities Born RichScott Gries, Getty Images

Everyone loves a good rags-to-riches story, but what about the celebs who were born with a silver spoon in their mouths? For the most part, privileged artists tend to downplay their cushy upbringings -- likely because it hurts their cred in the music industry. However, more than a few top acts were born into money. While their family's bank accounts might not match the millions they're making now, check out the musicians in our gallery below who weren't exactly strapped for cash growing up.

If any of you Liberals think Barry and Michelle grew up poor . You may have to do more research. Barry was silver spooned into prep schools his whole life and Michelle's father made a mere 50k as a janitor back in 1973. Far from poor. And she was sent to private schools.

At least Kid Rock writes about the poor people, trying to bring awareness to the problems. The Obamas have done nothing but try to divide our country in to class and race. Really I believe that Martin Luther King would be ashamed of them . By the way King was a Republican. I believe leave in giving a hand up not an hand out!

In 1973 $50K was a LOT of money. $50K would buy SIX fully equipped Cadillacs. Or a new three bedroom brick ranch style house and you'd still have money left over to furnish it with. It would be the equivalent of about $190,000.00 today. In 1973 my dad was the supervisor over fourteen departments of a large kitchen cabinet manufacturing plant and he wasn't making that much money back then. So Michelle Obama's dad making $50K as a janitor in 1973 kind of dispels the myth (among rational people) that African Americans were always abused and taken advantage of by the "White Establishment"!

Would we be talking about Kid Rock in this manner if he was supporting Obama? NO that is what is wrong with libs, always preaching tolerance but never practicing it.

that's what I always said, that being rich and famous about something, is largely about opportunity. You have to have money to make money.

Of all of the publicly known lewd acts and debauchery that Kid Rock has been involved in, the thing the left attacks him for is growing up wealthy...go figure. The greatest sin according to the canons of Liberalism is financial success! Liberalism is morphing into a cult-like entity in a similar fashion to the way the German Nazi Party did in the 1930s.

What a bunch of inept fakes, except for Lars Ulrich, who at least is musically talented.

What I do like about Kid Rock IS the fact that he helps people who have suffered loss...he does these things out of the lime light and in private. One reason why we should not be so quick to judge others...I think he is actually a decent human being. So unlike other celebs, who are so showy about what they do for others. He goes with the heart. God bless him for that.
