Britney Spears: 'X Factor' Producers Take Major Measures to Prevent Potential Live-TV Disaster (REPORT)

Thus far, new "X Factor" judge Britney Spears has received positive reviews for her charming ways on the hit singing competition show. However, Mail Online reports "X Factor" producers are uneasy about how Brit will perform during the show's forthcoming live episodes, starting Nov. 1 -- so much so that they've requested a major time delay as they air.

"Britney has been getting her life back together this year," an alleged friend of the pop star told the publication. "Everyone around her has worked hard to get her back to a good place and keep her there, and what [ex-manager] Lutfi's doing seems like it might undo their good work."

The insider is, of course, referring to the trial that just opened up against Britney's parents this past week. Spears' former manager, Sam Lutfi, is suing the pop star's parents for defamation, alleging Britney's mother wrongfully scapegoated him for the singer's highly publicized meltdown in 2007.

He and his lawyer have claimed Britney abused crystal meth and overdosed on drugs as Lutfi was trying to save her from her self-destructive ways.

A source close to show's production team says, "It's not surprising people are concerned, it's going to be a huge test for her and there's a lot of pressure, in fact producers have had meetings to discuss having an extended time delay on the live show broadcast which is usually seven seconds delay. It's up to FOX if they can make it longer but everyone's nervous and no one knows what to expect."

Another source echoed the nervous sentiment. "Britney is going to be live on-air for 3 hours a week. If anything goes wrong, it happens in front of the whole country -- there is no rewind button on Live TV. Taping auditions is one thing, when they have a whole day to take breaks, but live shows could be a train wreck if she isn't super-prepared for it, or if she can't handle the pressure."

So agree...she is just fine. She has grown up alot. Simon thinks so. Do ya really think he would have put her there as a judge on HIS show, if he thought she was a risk? Yeah...let her alone....

She is a diasterous to happen. Take her out now....put someone in her place to start working with those kids so they can go on stage and give a good performance. Its those kids who will suffer if she breaks down.

Hmmm. Makes you think there have to have been a few Brittany meltdowns during the taped episodes to cause the producers to want to engage a safety net. If everything went smooth through the tapings, why would they even be discussing this ugly subject?

My thoughts exactly . Although I wish the very best for Brittney , there must be a reason for the sudden concern . I would naturally be concerned with a "Howard Stern" in a live setting , but never questioned an incident with Brittney (at least not the 2012 Brittney) . Hmmmm.....

They're worried about how she will react on live tv. What about Nicki Minaj? She threatend to shoot Mariay, are the going to time delay that also? At least Brit has not been violent.

Its not violence they are worried about. She is dumber than a bag of hammers and they are afraid of what might come out of pie hole.

Yep...that's a lot of pressure...just sitting there, listening to people sing and giving your opinion. I don't know how any of the judges handle all of that pressure.
