Madonna Booed at New Orleans Concert After Telling Crowd to Vote for President Obama

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Madonna drew boos and triggered a walkout by several concertgoers after she touted President Obama on her "MDNA Tour" in New Orleans.

The Material Girl asked during Saturday night's performance: "Who's registered to vote?" She added: "I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama." Drawing boos in touting Obama over Republican Mitt Romney, Madonna followed: "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for...Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote."

Madonna is often outspoken. Some Colorado fans, mindful of a mass shooting there, complained she used a fake gun to shoot a masked gunman in a recent concert act in Denver. A Madonna concert in Paris in July drew ire when a video showed a swastika on a politician's forehead.

WOW all the women bashing Madonna should be ashamed. Madonna is in her 50s not 60s and I'm sure she looks better than many of the women posting here. Furthermore, she could physically out do any of you I'm sure as well as anyone in their 40s 30s and probably even 20s. Also, last time I checked we still have freedom of speech in the USA and Madonna has every right to support whoever she wants and say whatever the hell she wants. Madonna does things that are "anti-christian"? I get so SICK of hearing that. Keep your stupid "religion" crap to yourself. Most so called "christians" are nothing more than bullies who use their religion as justification to bully people. DId you ever stop to think that your beliefs COULD be wrong? Finally, if she is so washed up, tired and over, then why are you ******** in here talking/bitching about it? Grow up.

Anytime Madonna says or promotes anything, it is generally anti Christian and immoral.

I can't imagine people going to see a 60 year old parading her junk on a stage. She is not an attractive aging lady. She looks like she has had one too many face lifts. Looks like the joker from batman.

Last time I looked we live in a free country with varying opinions and that is OK. Entertainers need to learn that and keep politics out of there acts. The black list Hollywood is creating reminds me of the 30's or was it the 40's, do not hire them as they have varying opinions !!! Really

That's the risk you take when you are an entertainer and bring politics into your act, especially when folks just want an evening of escapism and paid dearly for it too. I'm proud of the people that stood by their beliefs and walked out. I wouldn't walk across the street to see her for free but good for the folks that paid and walked out anyway.
