Black Eyed Peas rapper will.i.am got emotional the other night when he was a guest on Katie Couric's show. He opened up about a former teacher who he said changed his life by supporting him and encouraging him during his shy childhood. When Katie had the teacher, Ms. Montez, brought out onstage though, the "I Got A Feeling" hitmaker was nearly in tears as his former mentor praised him for his charity work. A heart-warming story all around, and it was nice to see a will.i.am who was happy and not complaining about leaks and telling off thieves for stealing his stuff.
