German magazine Bild reports that Pray Dodaj, a maid at the Melia Dusseldorf Hotel in Germany, knocked on the singer's door in hopes of getting an autograph but was quickly ushered away. "I cleaned on [sic] her floor," Dodaj said. "And I am an incredibly big fan so I took all my courage and rang the bell to get an autograph. But I was rejected by two assistants at the door."
After the incident, Dodaj was told she was getting fired. "A day later, the cleaning company that employed me at the hotel called and said that Ms Lopez had complained," she shared. "I was fired right there on the phone. Because of an autograph."
According to the paper, the hotel director, Cyrus Heydarian, stood by the decision to fire his employee. "She has acted contrary to the contractual arrangements and disturbed the privacy of our guests," he said in a statement.
Once fans started tweeting their complaints to J.Lo, Lopez took to her own Twitter to clear the air and deny the accusation.
"C'mon thought you knew me better than this.. Would never get anyone fired over an autograph. 1st I heard of this was on twitter. #hurtful," she tweeted.
Dodaj is standing by her side of the story, but luckily, she's reportedly gotten a new maid job at another luxury hotel.
