Adam Lambert is currently on tour in support his new album Trespassing, and the "American Idol" star gave a South African crowd more than they bargained for last night (Nov. 14).

Lambert performed a cover of Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Go My Way" at his Cape Town show and the sold out crowd went wild for it. Taking the rock song and adding his usual dramatic flourishes, the "If I Had You" hitmaker really made the song his own.

Dressed in all black leather, Glambert looked as stylish as ever, rocking a long fringe on his jacket sleeves and breaking into some dance moves during the guitar solo.

Lambert recently made news after his sophomore album debut hit the number one spot on Billboard's charts, making him the first openly gay male to ever achieve that honor. The singer has opened up about his support for the LGBT community before and strongly supports same-sex marriage and equal rights regardless of sexuality.

Watch him get groovy in South Africa below and check out photos of AOL Music's recent Sessions with the singer!

It was a lovely cover of a brilliant song, but there was so much more to the concert than just that, what about the brilliant début of his beautiful song 'Underneath'

I'm really looking forward to seeing that concert in the UK when he eventually brings it here, I've only seen You-Tubes but it looked fantastic from start to finish.
