After Joe Simpson, father of Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson, was arrested in August on two counts of drunken driving, he pleaded no contest earlier this week in LA.
In doing so, Joe was sentenced to 36 months' probation, fined $390 plus penalties, and ordered to complete a three-month alcohol-education program, according to TMZ. A separate count of driving under the influence was also dismissed.
Joe reportedly wasn't required to be in court to enter the plea, and his attorney was there on his behalf. With the plea, Joe won't be required to serve any jail time.
Jessica hasn't commented on her father's arrest. Her parents announced their divorce in October.
