In an interview with Star magazine via Radar Online, 43-year old Jodi Hudson has alleged that she's Katy Perry's (real name Katheryn Hudson) secret half-sister and was abandoned as a baby by their father, preacher Keith Hudson.
According to Jodi, she's Keith's daughter from his first marriage and the tabloid mag alleges they have divorce documents to prove the relation.
Jodi has stepped forward after being angered upon watching a YouTube video of Keith telling parents to "Don't close the door on your children." Keith is an evangelical pastor whose religious views are no secret, but Jodi says her father doesn't practice what he preaches. "This man is preaching something he should have done himself," Jodi says. "I broke down when I saw that video. He completely abandoned me when I was a child and has had almost nothing to do with me throughout my life."
Jodi recalled only a few memories with her father, Katy and other siblings Angela and David. She says that because of Keith, she's not close to them. "I spent a night in my father's house in Santa Barbara when Katy was about 4 or 5," Jodi told Star about the one and only time she met Katy.
Despite harsh words for Keith, Jodi reportedly didn't badmouth her siblings, including Katy. "It is hurtful that I am kept a secret but I have nothing bad to say about her," she said.
Katy, who's currently dating John Mayer, has not commented on the news.
