Rihanna: 'Unapologetic' Chart Performance Is Career Milestone, Brings Singer to Tears

The seventh time's the charm for Rihanna. Following six top-10 albums, the singer has finally scored her very first No. 1 in the U.S. with her seventh studio release, Unapologetic.

"Wait!!!!! What the F--K?!!!!" Rihanna tweeted upon hearing the big news that her album debuted atop the Billboard Albums 200 chart. "#UNAPOLOGETIC just debuted at #1 in AMERICA!!!!! My first number 1 album there!!! Thank you Navy, u deserve it."

"I'm legit crying like a p---y right now!! #UNAPOLOGETIC," she added in another messaged to her 26.9 million followers on the social networking site.

Not only is Unapologetic Ri's first No. 1 stateside, the release has earned the pop star her best sales week yet for an album with 238,000 copies sold in its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Before Rihanna's latest triumph, she held the title of musical act with the most No. 1 songs on the Hot 100 without a No. 1 album to her name.
