It was only a matter of time. Lady Gaga is teaming up with the United Nations to spread her "Born This Way" mantra of self-love and acceptance in a bid to help empower youth all over the world.

Gaga wasn't just going on safaris during her recent Born This Way Ball tour stop in South Africa, the singer began work for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) by visiting one of The National Association of Child Care Workers' centers for orphans and vulnerable children.

"On Dec. 1 I visited Isibindi Safe Park in Naledi to speak w the children about Youth Empowerment on behalf of UN/UNICEF," Gaga tweeted along with the above photo.

"I will be continuing my work with UN/UNICEF and a http://Littlemonsters.com page documenting our progress will up shortly," Gaga said, revealing the collaboration between the United Nations and her own social media networking site.

The Born This Way Foundation creator continued, "Teaming with the United Nations I can continue breeding our Born This Way message of compassion. #KinderAndBraverWorld."

Gaga's efforts join those of fellow celebrities working with UNICEF, including ambassador Selena Gomez.
