Taylor Swift, Stalker Threats Worsen: 'It Scares Me'

As Taylor Swift continues to top the charts and break music records, one of the high prices of fame is really starting to rear its ugly head. Among the Red creator's legion of adoring fans, overzealous and often mentally unstable stalkers have been posing a serious threat to the singer. The 22-year-old is uneasy speaking on the subject in an interview for Cosmopolitan UK's January issue.

"I get nervous when I have stalker incidents," she admits. "I try not to talk too much about it because it scares me. Sometimes you get a dude who kind of wants to steal you. That's why I'm so grateful I have people looking after me, like [my bodyguard] Dennis."

Taylor reveals her security team has stepped it up recently, notifying the singer of specific dangerous individuals to look out for in the crowds.
