Avril Lavigne, Nickelback Cover: Singer Remakes Fiancé's 'How You Remind Me'

Need further proof that ChAvril -- the engagement between Canadian treasures Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger -- is real? Check out Lavigne's cover of her fiance's biggest hit, 2001's ubiquitous "How You Remind Me," below.

The song is slated to appear on the soundtrack of "One Piece Film Z," the last installment of the "One Piece" anime/manga film series.

So how did Av do with this smash hit? She turned in a bit of a bluesy, torchy version, complete with her breathy, nasal vocals. She slowed it down to a crawl, too. It might not be beloved by diehard 'Back fans, but something tells us that Lavigne's devotees will like how she handled it. It's piano-driven and reminds us of that whacky angst queen Fiona Apple in her heyday.
