KRQE alleges that convicted murder Dana Martin, who is currently serving two life sentences for raping and murdering a 15-year-old girl in Vermont, met an inmate at Las Cruces prison in New Mexico named Mark Staake, and asked him to "carry out" Justin Bieber's murder.
Staake and his nephew, Tanner Ruane, had reportedly planned the crime to take place in New York City while Justin was there performing at Madison Square Garden just a few weeks ago.
Staake was arrested in Vermont on outstanding warrants, leaving Ruane to complete the task. Ruane allegedly made it to New York with tools, including pruning sheers, but police arrested him before anything came to friction, according to KRQE. Cops recorded phone calls, in which Ruane allegedly tells Martin he's disappointed he couldn't carry out the murders.
The station says that Martin also reportedly told police the plan he hatched with Staake beforehand, which was to kidnap Justin and his bodyguard, strangle them with paisley ties, and then Ruane would castrate them.
The news station reports that Martin is "obsessed" with the singer and even has a tattoo of him on his leg.
Justin hasn't commented on the alleged plot yet.
