Connecticut School Shooting: Pop Stars React to Terrible Tragedy

Tragedy struck Newtown, Connecticut today as a gunman has reportedly shot and killed 26 people at an elementary school -- 20 of the victims are children.

The shooter is allegedly a man in his mid twenties whose mother works as a teacher at the school. According to reports he first found and shot his mother at school before shooting the rest of his victims.

This is another shooting in a series that has plagued 2012 with depressing frequency, but one of the worst in recent history, especially considering the children involved. President Obama gave a speech offering words of comfort earlier this afternoon, and pop stars are also sending their prayers and thoughts out to the families involved.
