The "Dance Again" singer's case was in response to the former chauffeur's wrongful termination and breach of contract suit, in which he claimed that he was forced out of his job after being "publicly berated" by Lopez's manager, Benny Medina.
In return, the singer-actress' $20 million suit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court stating, "Manoukian plotted to retaliate against Ms. Lopez and her management and to use his apparent position of trust to exploit and extort substantial sums from Ms. Lopez."
Manoukian's lawyers then filed a motion to dismiss the countersuit, claiming that Lopez was trying to punish Manoukian for "filing a legitimate employment lawsuit against her." The judge agreed.
Manoukian's original lawsuit against Lopez is still pending.
