Specialists Entertainment filed the suit against Pink in New York last month (December), and alleged that the pop star signed a deal with them and Thunderstone Productions to produce songs on her debut album, Can't Take Me Home, back in 1999.
Fourteen years later, the company is still waiting for their half of the producers' royalties for Pink's songs "Can't Take Me Home" and "Hiccup."
A rep for Pink addressed the legal battle, claiming it's the singer's record label that is responsible for the unpaid royalties, not Pink herself. "Sony are responsible for paying the producers."
We'll see if the lawsuit against Pink fizzles out like those of some of her fellow pop stars who have also recently faced legal battles. A $5 million lawsuit filed against the New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys by an injured tour crew member was dismissed by a judge just in time for the holidays.
