The "American Idol" season 8 winner broke his wrist after a scary car accident on New Year's Day, but is thankfully doing better after undergoing surgery on Friday, Dec. 4.
In a series of tweets, he writes, "Feelin alright after the surgery ... I'm sure by tues the 8th ill be ready to rock. outalive tour."
Although his tour dates are still on, Kris explained that a new musician has been added to the tour to help out.
"Because I can't play with my wrist being broken we have brought another guy," he tweeted. "His name is Andrew St Marie and you guys are going to love him."
While typing with his left hand only, Kris also took time to thank everyone for all their support.
"I have the best family, friends, and fans in the world," he writes. "This has been a crazy time and I'm glad I'm surrounded by amazing people ... Gonna get this hand back to 100% no matter what it takes."
After the car accident, Kris revealed that he and his wife, Katy, are expecting their first child together. Katy and their dog, Zoro, were also in the car but are doing OK.
The Out Alive tour kicks off tomorrow, Jan. 8 in Killington, VT.
