Elton John, David Furnish Baby: Couple Reportedly Welcomes Second Child (UPDATED)

UPDATE 1/10/13: A representative for Elton John tells E! News, "Reports that Elton and David have had a second child are false," and that all other circulating stories are simply speculative tabloid fodder.

ORIGINAL STORY: As AOL Music previously reported, Elton John and his partner David Furnish have been trying for a second child. According to The Sun, the couple's surrogate became pregnant several months ago and is due this year.

Well it looks like that baby may have arrived! New York Post's gossip column Page Six says the surrogate has given birth -- the same women who had their first child Zachary.

A spokesman for the "Tiny Dancer" singer refuses to confirm the tabloid's report, so we'll have to wait until the happy couple officially announce the newest member of their family.

In 2012, Elton expressed his desire for a sibling for Zachary: "At what stage we don't know. But we definitely will. I don't want him to be an only child."
