Adam Lambert Dropped From Record Label? Britney Spears Returns Engagement Ring, Selena Gomez Spotted With Mystery Man & More -- News Roundup

Adam Lambert has reportedly been dropped from his label, 19 Recordings. But don't worry, the split was said to be "good" and Adam remains on the RCA Records roster as he plans his "evolution" and works on his third album. [The Hollywood Reporter]

After Britney Spears announced her separation from fiance Jason Trawick, more details about the split has been revealed. Apparently, Jason and Brit Brit disagreed over the decision to have children, since she reportedly wanted more kids and he did not want. Now that the breakup's been finalized, Brit has also handed back her $90,000 engagement ring to Jason. [TMZ]

Still reeling from her breakup with Harry Styles, Taylor Swift was spotted out to dinner with her family last night at Mastro's Steakhouse in LA. Joined by her parents and younger brother, Austin, Taylor's mom was spotted consoling her during the meal. Luckily, it seems that Tay's letting her emotions pour out in her music -- she reportedly has written five songs already about her short-lived romance with Harry! [E! Online & Perez Hilton]

Tay isn't the only putting on a brave front post-breakup. Her BFF Selena Gomez was joined by an older mystery man while out to dinner at BOA Steakhouse. [OceanUp]

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber's been having a "wild" weekend -- hanging with pal Lil Twist and posing with some ... interesting animals, including a lynx mountain lion (!!). Check out the pics here. [Hollywood Life]

Not exactly so! Wasn't like 19 up and decided to drop him like a hot rock, as the article title suggests. RCA is still his label and will be recording a 3rd studio album of Adam's. Billboard mag has a good article about it.

You people need to remove this because it is catagorically not true and RCA put out a message to that effect. He dropped his ties to 19 himself, but he is still with RCA.

Taylor Swift is pathetic. Just how many guys can you date, be dropped by and write the same song over and over about it? Maybe her next boyfriend should be an physiatrist.

The people at AOL are as dumb as a sack of hammers, Adam Lambert was not dropped from his contract. His decision to leave 19 when his contract ended, was made a year ago.

OMG....can NOT believe AOL Music, TV Balla, Rickey.org and all the others get their "headlines" from Perez Hilton. Thought you guys were better than that. Do your OWN research and quit "lifting" it from others. If you had, you would have learned that Adam Lambert was NOT DROPPED. Both parties let the contract run out and it was a VERY AMICABLE parting. SHEESH. We, the readers, are sick and tired of inflammatory headlines just so you can pull people to your site. I, for one, won't be back to this site.

I am losing faith in these Internet bloggers. Very few (including this one here) have reported this story correctly.
Adam signed on with another agency months ago--Direct Group Management (you know--the one that Katy Perry is with) and he was waiting for his contract with 19 to run out. I have been an AOL subscriber for over 15 years and I would hope you would not go for the sensational like the Perez Hilton's of the world. Get back to authentic journalism.

I can understand how desperate you must be to produce such a title for your article to attract viewer hits, however please do understand (which you are obviously incapable of) that not only you can be harming Adam Lambert's career but you are also helping to resurface many hating and hungry for gossip people that are yearning for such nonsense to be true in order to give them a reason to hate, bash and bully Adam Lambert and his fan base.
Adam Lambert HAS NOT BEEN DROPPED from his label and has chosen VOLUNTARILY to part ways amicably with 19 Records which you accurately explained in the article. However the title is very mistaking - and I'm completely sure that people aren't always paying attention whether there's a question mark at the end of a news headline or any other form of punctuation - while viewing news articles with the normal rush on the internet!
This is not at all pro and I'm actually quite confused as how AOL that has been working so much over the recent years with Lambert would approve such an unprofessional and puzzling article headline.

S DAWG,
?! um... you obviously haven't even read the article! Just to make things clear:
Adam has been signed on to RCA , his main record label, AND STILL IS. As far as I know, 19 is an arm of the RCA which handles a portion of many of the Idol alum's careers such as David Cook, Jordin Sparks and others. However having grown his career in the recent years into this successful international level, Lambert needed a... let's just say "different" management team . SO HE CHOSE Direct Management Group ((DMG), which handles the management duties for the likes of Katy Perry, to REPLACE 19.
He actually chose to leave 19 management in August 2011, AND NOW It is only the contract with 19 Recordings that has finally expired.
To me this is actually a start to A MUCH BIGGER CAREER! These are the facts, you're free to judge...
