Justin Timberlake's Secrets to Success: Why JT Has Excelled When So Many Idols Have Failed (Justin Bieber, Take Note)

Very few in the music industry have been able to take their boy band experience or tween pop fame and turn it into a successful solo career. We've seen the Jonas Brothers' Joe Jonas, the Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, and NKOTB's Joey McIntyre all fall short in their solo careers. For example, Jonas' Fastlife sold 18,000 its first week, Carter's Now or Never sold 70,000 its first week, and McIntyre's Stay the Same peaked at #49 on the Billboard charts. But if there's one artist who got it right, it's Justin Timberlake.

As he gears up to release his upcoming CD, The 20/20 Experience, this June (his first record since 2006's FutureSex/LoveSounds), we take a look at what brought JT from just another boy bander to the music icon he his today.
