Pattie Mallette, Anti-Abortion Movie? Justin Bieber's Mom Is Executive Producer of Controversial Pro-Life Film (REPORT)

It's usually Justin Bieber who is making the headlines, but this time, his mother Pattie Mallette is the one making waves.

According to the Movie to Movement official website, Mallette is an executive producer of "Crescendo," an upcoming anti-abortion short film. The movie's creators are hoping to raise $10 million for pregnancy centers at worldwide screenings starting Feb. 28 and Mallette plans to attend a few of the screenings.

Mallette, who gave birth to son Justin when she was 17 years old, addressed her thoughts on abortion and discussed other life struggles she faced in her memoir, Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom.

On the movie's website, Mallette appears on the homepage, discussing the cause as photos of her and a young Justin are shown.

In a statement to the Associated Press, Mallette said the movie will "encourage young women all over the world, just like me, to let them know that there is a place to go, people who will take care of you and a safe home to live in if you are pregnant and think you have nowhere else to turn."

Mallette had previously discussed her stance on abortion in recent months. In an interview with Kathie Lee Gifford on "The TODAY Show" back in September 2012, Mallette had shared why she didn't have an abortion with Justin, despite being encouraged to do so.

"I just knew I couldn't," she shared. "I just knew I couldn't. I just know I had to keep him. And, do the best. I -- you know, I didn't know how I was going to do it. But I just knew that I couldn't -- I couldn't abort. I had to do my best. I had to see what I could do. And I was determined to do whatever it took."

While Mallette's involvement with the movie isn't a huge shock, given her previous interviews, his mom's new role might be making Justin upset. According to a report in The Chicago Sun-Times, a "longtime Bieber associate" told the paper that Justin doesn't seem thrilled with the idea.

"Justin just is very uncomfortable about political issues -- especially ones like abortion that are very divisive," the source was quoted as saying. "He's all about entertaining his fans with his music and not interested in pushing a political agenda ... Furthermore, I don't believe he agrees with his mom on this issue."

How about Bieber's mother makes an ANTI-PROMISCUITY video and stops selling her son as a teenage sex-object? Stop whoring your son out everywhere as a sex kitten and show kids how to be kids without having to have "sex".......That's more important of a message.

Although I don't get this whole "Justin Beiber" thing who cares. However, he is in the media of 'sex' ...... so for his Mom to be involved in an anti-abortion film when she *****'s her son out is ridic. Don't tell me his mother would have whored a daughter out this way? Now, if she wants to make a movie such as this I find it a bit phoney being her son is making a TON of money being a TEENAGE SEX IDOL......(I don't see how he is being he is built like an 11 year old boy.) She promotes her son to be sexy which promotes SEX and now she wants to make an anti-abortion movie? It's like telling someone "OK, you can go into the beautiful candy store, eat a bit of the candy but DON'T YOU GAIN WEIGHT!!" It doesn't make sense. Why not promote a non-teen-sex product at first. Don't sell your son out to be a teen sex idol (which promotes sexual ideas in the first place) then want to do a non-abortion film. SHE is promoting sex. You can't promote something that may have a negative outcome (like an unwanted pregnancy) then send out an exact opposite message.
