Isaac Hanson's Kids in the Music Biz? 'It's Ruthless' Says the Star (EXCLUSIVE)

Sixteen years ago, the name "Hanson" was synonymous with a trio of tween brothers rocking long blonde locks. Since their breakout hit MmmBopped through boomboxes across the globe, Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson have started families, bringing a new brood of Hanson children into the world.

While the three men still produce music together -- their sixth album is slated to drop this summer -- you won't catch them trading parenting tips.

"I think probably all of our parenting tips are coming from a similar source, as we grew up together, so there's a degree to which there are similar feelings that we have about a lot of things," Isaac tells AOL Music. "But honestly, when it comes to that kind of stuff, we're up in each other's grill all the time with lots of things in our lives. The last thing that anybody is gonna be doing is getting over-involved in the rearing of one another's children."

The three men have joked about the possibility of their kids forming a band. But although the children clearly come from a musical family, their parents don't have plans to push them into careers in the business anytime soon!

"On some level or another, I hope that they are extremely musically talented and able to do music if they want to," Isaac says. "At the same time, the music business is not only ruthless, but it's extremely jaded -- because all they would be doing is answering questions about, 'Oh, so when you were growing up with your dad. . .' every five seconds. On that level, I don't wish that upon them. But if they have the personal need to make music, then I'm sure that they will do it, and I will have no capacity to stop them."

"Truthfully, that's the only way it's gonna work," he continues. "If they have a passion for it, it has to be theirs and theirs alone, and they have to be pushing you, not the other way around. If you're pushing them, there's a chance they'll get upset with you about the fact that you put them in a scenario where they're doing something they don't really love. And I would never do that. So, it's impossible to tell whether they would ever become a band or not."
