Justin Bieber, Black Keys Feud: Singer Responds to Drummer Who Dissed Him

Justin Bieber has had a rough week -- he skipped the Grammy Awards after not being nominated in any category, and instead tried to host a livestream but the site crashed. Now, he has a new low to deal with.

After the awards show, the Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney, who has won seven Grammys total, was asked by TMZ if Justin deserved a nomination.

His reply? "He's rich, right? The Grammys are ... for music and not for money. And he's making a lot of money. He should be happy, I guess."

Luckily, Justin didn't let the diss get to him, tweeting a light-hearted response when he heard the remarks.

"The Black Keys drummer should be slapped around haha," he tweeted.

Justin (and his manager, Scooter Braun) have been pretty vocal in the past about their unhappiness over the singer not getting a Grammy nom.

"My whole life I've dreamed of winning a Grammy," Justin told Billboard. "At this point, the excitement of that has gone down. I'm more excited to just make great music for my fans. That's just something that if it happens, it happens."

For now, Justin tweeted that he's enjoying "family time" while on vacation.

OK earning a Grammy shouldn't be based on popularity, marketability or fanbase. It SHOULD be based on the quality of your work, and I'm sorry Justin Biebers work isn't quality, it's barely even good enough to be average. He is doing nothing I can't hear 12 other tween pop stars do, only they sound better when they sing. When I prefer the 90's boybands to you, it's a sign you need to stop

i dont like him or his music, but he does have a bazillion fans and tons of hit songs. A song that becomes a hit means that a major part of society likes it, and when most people like it that should define if its good or not. I dont think a small percentage of people should decide whats generic and "not kewl" if the most people like it than it should win!

Rick, this guy obviously has a lot more fame and fortune than YOU. Who has heard of "Rick" ?
Despite what anyone says on this blog he's not going to change what works.
For every negative comment on here there would be milions of kids who like him.
You can dislike someone without writing crude comments about them.
So you don't like JB. The kid has the whole world at his feet.
While you have the fame and fortune you can do as you please.
Maybe there is just a hint of jealousy in there somewhere hey ??? :-)
