Lady Gaga Cancels World Tour to Undergo Surgery

After revealing yesterday (Feb. 12) that she had to postpone four shows due to an injury on her hip, Lady Gaga has been forced to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball world tour.

Gaga told fans she was "completely devastated" to postpone the shows, yesterday, after being diagnosed with synovitis, a severe inflammation of the joints. Sadly, it appears the entire remainder of her world tour, which ran until the end of March for a total of 21 more dates, will now have to be canceled, so that she may receive surgery on the injured hip.

"Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled," the tour's promoters explained in a statement.

"After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip caused by strenuous repetitive movements in her performances. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal."

The extent of Gaga's injury is not yet known, but she told fans that she had been suffering for quite some time.

"I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the last month it has worsened," she tweeted. "I've been praying it would heal."

Hopefully her recovery time will be swift.

Hmmm...I had surgery for a labral hip tear a year ago. I was walking the next day and going up & down he stairs the next day. It did, however, take some time to \'stretch\' the hip muscles back to normal. About 3 mos later, the EXACT same symptoms returned! BE SURE YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!! Best of luck.

Get some natural mineral salt. and Redmond clay for healing. The doctors will tell you to get off salt which is only partially right . You should get off white salt which in my opinion is no good and get some natural mineral salt. I use mineral salt with 85 minerals which has made me much better. I got off white salt like my doctor said and I got worse. Started mineral salt and I can't believe how much better I'm from it. Look at what's in osteoporosis drugs and they are sodium. Your going to the doctor to get a prescription for salt for your bones.

Pro-Tip: the sodium contained in 'osteoporosis drugs' (I will assume you mean bisphosphonates, since estrogens that are used for osteoporosis do not contain sodium. Nor do calcium or vitamin D) is a counter-ion for the active ingredient. It is not pharmacologically active in any real capacity and is only there to replace hydrogen ions that would make the drugs horribly acidic and even more erosive to the mouth and throat than those drugs already happen to be.
