Mariah Carey, 'Almost Home': Listen to 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' Track Here

A movie as epic as Oz The Great and Powerful deserves an equally as memorable soundtrack. (Seriously, James Franco is playing the famous wizard!) Luckily, Mariah Carey delivers.

"Almost Home," a song from the upcoming film, kicks off with a thumping beat as powerful as Mimi's vocals. The Stargate-produced track is the quintessential movie anthem, underscoring the timeless Wizard of Oz quest to go home.

"'Almost Home' has a message that works beautifully with the film," Carey said in a press release. "It's a feel-good record; it gives you the feeling of reaching your home and being with people that you love."

Oz The Great and Powerful hits theaters March 8, but you can listen to "Almost Home" below!

I love it! It's a mix between old Mariah and rap singer Mariah. Perfect balance..wish she'd make more songs like this. And she finally used her voice instead that whimpy whinny stuff she does.

Hello Chase

Who wrote that blurb, her publicist??? This is totally forgettable...like every thing she's done the last few years.

Too overproduced, too mechanical. Sounds very 'techno-pop' , or bad auto tune. Perhaps if the movie is done as a rap. Otherwise, nothing fresh here.

Too mechanical. Reminds me of 'techno-pop', or bad auto-tune. If the movie is done as a rap- maybe. Otherwise, nothing fresh here.

I like her but did feel her nose was stopped up on this one. Maybe they can rerecord when she's not stopped up.

Oh, ouch. I can't stand to listen to someone sing with nodes. You can hear them clearly when she speaks and now it's showing in her music. Not good. Sounds like her sinuses are swollen, too. What's up with that? Couldn't they have waited until she got treatment to record this? WHO is producing her now? Tsk.
