Madonna, Instagram Drama: Singer's Photo Account Threatened to Be Shut Down

When it comes to the photo-sharing rules on Instagram, a popular photo sharing site, Madonna gets no special treatment.

Madonna recently joined Instagram and already has over 152,000 followers, but it seems the site isn't pleased about the photos she's posted so far. In fact, the singer has received a warning from the company instructing her to follow its guidelines or they will have to disable her account.

It's not clear what specific photos Instagram is upset with, but she has posted cleavage-baring pictures and pictures of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo that could've raised concerns. The site's guidelines ask users to refrain from posting photos with "nudity or mature content" or from sharing photos that "aren't yours."

Earlier today, Madonna posted the actual warning letter she received to her page. Read it below.

Hello Madonna,

It has come to our attention that your account on Instagram has violated our Community Guidelines, which can be found here:

In short, we ask that you:

- Don't share photos that aren't yours.

- Don't share photos that show nudity or mature content.

- Don't share photos of illegal content.

- Don't share photos that attack an individual or group, or violate of our Terms of Use

We strongly suggest deleting any additional content on your account that may not fall in line with the above guidelines or our Terms of Use:

We value these guidelines, and believe that they will help keep Instagram a safe & fun place for everyone. It is important to note that continuing to violate them may result in a disabled account, or discontinued access to Instagram, without warning.

Despite the photo drama, Madonna should remain in good spirits. It was announced on Friday (Feb. 22) that she tops Billbaord's list of the top 40 highest-grossing musicians in the past 12 months, making $34,577,308.62.
