Singers Who've Appeared on 'Dancing With the Stars': How Zendaya Will Fare Based on Previous Performers

Dancers, take your mark! Yesterday, (Feb. 26) ABC announced the newest crop of "Dancing With the Stars" contestants. Among the competitors is Disney darling Zendaya Coleman, an actress on "Shake It Up" and singer who recently signed with Hollywood Records. The 16-year-old, who will be teaming up with professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, tweeted her excitement, saying, "Let's do this thang!"

While her competition looks pretty fierce (she's up against country crooner Kellie Pickler and Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman), Zendaya's musical background will definitely give her a leg up. (Pun intended.)

We looked back at pop stars who have previously graced the ballroom to see how they fared. Judging by their success (some even took home the coveted mirror ball trophy!) we have a pretty good feeling about Zendaya.

See the pop stars with smooth moves in the gallery below!

Plaster some more make-up on the kid. Already looks like it went on with a putty knife.

That Disney "plant" is not fair. One year the kid almost got raped on the air by his teacher.

Is it really mandatory to have a Disney personality on every season of DWTS?

Legs are too skinny, remind me of Kristen Stewart.

SMH....Here we go again with the unfair advantages. There is never one season where there is no negativity.
