Although the band has an adoring army of Directioners swooning over their every move, apparently not everyone is so fond of the lads.
The Feb. 27 NME Awards held in London weren't kind to the boys. While Florence Welch and the Rolling Stones received major accolades, One Direction got a major diss.
The group was given the award for Worst Band. They beat out fellow nominees Muse, Mumford & Sons, Alt-J, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran for the title.
Harry Styles, still recovering from the affections of an over-zealous fan, took home an additional honor: Villain of the Year. It looks like there were Taylor Swift fans casting ballots!
It's okay, guys. They don't know you're beautiful, and that's what makes you beautiful ... but we do!
