Taylor Swift, Vanity Fair Interview: Details Emerge From Harry Styles Split, Singer Says She's Not a 'Clingy, Insane, Desperate Girlfriend'

Taylor Swift is ready to speak now ... about her love life, that is.

Appearing on the cover of the April issue of Vanity Fair, the singer addressed rumors that she's a serial dater.

"If you want some big revelation, since 2010 I have dated exactly two people," she says. "The fact that there are slide shows of a dozen guys that I either hugged on a red carpet or met for lunch or wrote a song with ... it's just kind of ridiculous."

Taylor also fought back on talk that she's "boy crazy."

"For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that's taking something that potentially should be celebrated -- a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way --that's taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist," she explains.

As for reports that she constantly buys houses near the guy she is dating at the time, Taylor says it's frustrating to deal with.

"People say that about me, that I apparently buy houses near every boy I like -- that's a thing that I apparently do," she says. "If I like you I will apparently buy up the real estate market just to freak you out so you leave me. One of these things I say to myself to calm myself down when I feel like it's all too much ... If there's a pregnancy rumor, people will find out it's not true when you wind up not being pregnant, like nine months from now, and if there's a house rumor, they'll find out it's not true when you are actively not ever spotted at that house."

Indeed, although Tay did buy a house near ex Conor Kennedy's family in Hyannis Port, Mass., the house was reportedly resold. A source told the mag, "It was like a house-flip ... A good short-term investment."

Although Taylor didn't discuss Harry Styles and their breakup, an "authorized source" close to the singer opened up about what went down to the mag.

In the beginning, before their full-fledged romance in fall 2012, the source says Styles "wore her down." The source explains, "He was all, like, 'You're amazing -- I want to be with you. I want to do this.'"

Taylor ended things when she reportedly saw a picture of Styles "making out" with a friend. The source says he claimed the kiss was innocent, that he was saying goodbye to a friend, but she saw it differently.

A few months later, in fall 2012, Tay decided to take him back. "But the whole time she says she feels like he's looking at every girl," the source says.

When they were in London together, the source says Styles "disappeared" one evening and "after that it was like he just didn't want to keep going."

As for Styles side of the story, a rep for the One Direction member tells the mag that the stories are "undeniably false."

The split was hard for Taylor, according to the source.

"She dated Jake [Gyllenhaal] and John [Mayer] when she was really young and they were in their 30s, and she got really hurt," the source said. "So it was like 'That hurt -- this won't. But then it did."

t.s. wrote five "songs" about some little boy she dated for five minutes? that's a "song" a minute. have you guys ever, ever, ever, decided to never, never, never, follow this "stuff" again!!!???

t.s. and j.b. are two teeny bopper fixations. they do not fit in the real world of music and entertainment. they are mediocre and irrelevant. still, they are shoved in our faces when it would be so much better to give the really talented artists air time and show time .

When is she going to fade away. She CANNOT sing or write. I cringe every time I hear her and I turn off the radio. Hear that Radio Stations, and I don\'t turn them back on for a long time. I have taken to listening to stations that play old music that was recorded before this blonde bimbo was hatched. By the way I did not read the story written I just wanted to say GOOOOOOAWAY SWIFTLY!!!!!

Of course she's boy crrazy, she's a kid having the time of her life. Might be nice if she'd stop writing songs about the break ups and keep some secrets but what the hell, live while you can.

Ladies, I take comfort in knowing that we all have our priorities straight. Taylor Swift made an annoucement about a love affair on the same day that NASA told the world know that a catastrophic meteorite could possibly hit the earth and end life as we know it. The meteorite annoucement got 1,245 hits on the internet and Taylor Swift got over 120 million !

Fifty years ago, Loretta, Dolly, Martina, Sylvia, Madonna and others spent up to twenty years paying their dues. Today, talent shows can put some "wannabee" who just fell off the turnip truck stomping around the stage who can't carry a tune in a bucket with a three word song and they are instantly pronounced by a panel of "self promoting/ratings sensitive" judges to be > "a Diva" or "a Superstar". And all the little teeneyboppers scream and rush the stage because they know talent when they smell it ! As one of the original musicians and song writers (over 20 in the top ten on the charts) to accompany Elvis, I fear that things will never, never, never, ever, ever, ever, never, never, never, never be the same again. Nuff Sed !

Its all releative to the time period we live in. Their is a lot of bright young talent out there but it seems people get locked into there generation and nothing is better then the present they live or lived in. Their are some muscians before Elvis that you could say thought he was horrible so you see its relative to the time you live.

She's still a young woman and so far she has not been married to any of these men according to any report I've heard (not that I'm a particularly avid follower). There are many more stars dumping spouses and hooking up with others the next day - most of who are older than her. Go condemn them.
