The "Party in the U.S.A." singer was photographed going out sans diamond. While all signs pointed toward a breakup, Miley finally admitted why she wasn't wearing the jewelry.
She was prompted by singer Lindsey Lee, who tweeted, "had to send off my engagement ring today to get fixed... one of the little diamonds fell out... I feel naked without it :( so sad!"
Miley responded to the post, saying, "ugh that's the worst! I just had a similar situation except when it happens to me then everyone says my wedding is off."
While breakup rumors fly, the "Hannah Montana" star is getting support from another celebrity in the spotlight -- Evan Rachel Wood!
"The fact that we live in a world which condones the stripping of basic human rights (dignity, privacy, etc.) of people because of their status, is very sad to me," Wood tweeted. "We need to have higher standards for ourselves as people and a society."
Miley posted her gratitude on the social media site.
"I [heart] @evanrachelwood Thank you for always speakin the truth #badbitchcontestyoureinfirstplace," she tweeted.
