Amazing hairstyles and pop music go hand-in-hand. Ever since a carefully coiffured Elvis Presley carried a comb in his back pocket, the relationship between a singer and their hair has become almost as important as their music. What would the Beatles be without their matching mop tops, rap duo Kid 'N Play without their box tops or funk legend George Clinton without his rainbow of dreadlocks. Weird, right? So, without further ... ahem ... ado, we celebrate these hair-raising feats with our list of the most trend-setting hairstyles in pop music today.

Despite her absence from the headlines lately, we couldn't have a list of the best hair in pop right now without a nod to Amy Winehouse, whose pouf knows no boundaries. Developed in 1960, the beehive is an awesomely appropriate 'do for the 'Back to Black' singer; much like her modern twist on the beehive (hers features a blond streak and gravity-defying heights), her music delivers an updated version of classic soul.

Second Madonna Charity Under Investigation for Financial Mismanagement

As Madonna continues to quell rumors that her Raising Malawi charity is being investigated by authorities comes word a second of her non-profit organizations is under fire for financial mismanagement.

According to UK's Daily Mail, Madonna's international educational charity Success for Kids, which the singer chairs, is being probed by the FBI for "several irregularities and suspicious activity." While there is no word whether Madonna herself will be involved in the investigation, the Mail reports that she has donated $671,000 since it was founded in 2001 and has persuaded a string of celebrity friends to also donate.

The news comes less than a week after she was forced to scrap plans to build a school in Malawi due to revelations the funds were being used on frivolous luxuries. While rumors spread that both Madonna and Raising Malawi were under investigation, her representatives claim that "neither Madonna nor Raising Malawi is being investigated by the FBI or the IRS. It is unfortunate that people have chosen to say things about Raising Malawi and Madonna that are not true."

New Kids on the Block's Joey McIntyre and the Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean stopped by Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show today (April 5) to debut their new single and talk about the upcoming NKOTBSB record and tour.

The radio debut of NKOTBSB's 'Don't Turn Out the Lights' was subdued a bit by a leak of the song last week which hit most mainstream media outlets. But that didn't stop McLean and McIntyre from dishing some details about the supergroup's upcoming blockbuster summer tour.

Demi Lovato Rumors Further Fuels 'X Factor' Judge Speculation

A day after Rihanna was namedropped comes word Demi Lovato might be up for the future 'X Factor' judging role. While we don't know who will fill the coveted spot on the US version of the show alongside creator / producer Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, we know two things based on the recent speculation: It will be a female. And Cowell is currently interviewing a lot of people.

According to Perez Hilton, Demi Lovato now joins a list that includes Rihanna, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Paula Abdul, and Jessica Simpson. This new revelation came with a quote from Lovato's rep, saying "she would love to do it." In addition to the third judge rumors, Enrique Iglesias is said to have been offered the hosting gig.

As for our preference, we're on board with Justin Bieber, and would like to see UK judge Cheryl Cole come over to this side of the Atlantic. Though yesterday it was reported that Cole was offered a pay raise to stay on as a judge for the UK version of the show -- one that would make her the highest paid woman in UK television.

Nick Cannon to Host Nationally Syndicated Radio Countdown Show

When he's not pulling April Fool's jokes about his wife's pregnancy, Nick Cannon is actually a pretty successful radio DJ. Currently the morning personality on 'Rollin' With Nick Cannon' at WXRK (92.3 NOW) New York, Cannon will now be the host of his own nationally syndicated weekly countdown show.

'Cannon's Countdown' premiers the weekend of April 23 and will be broadcast on CBS Radio stations and syndicated nationally by Citadel Media. Featuring a mix of music and celebrity interviews, the show will be available in a four-hour version on pop stations and a three-hour edition for urban stations.

While he he remained mum on who the guests will be on his first show, Cannon told Billboard, "whatever is happening in pop culture, I'm there."
