Taylor Swift has had plenty publicized about her boyfriends, including her
recent summer romance with 18-year-old Connor Kennedy. But while the songstress has dated everyone from American political royalty to movie stars, there is one thing that she's convinced will always lead to the ultimate demise of any love affair.
"It needs to be equal. If I feel too much like I'm wearing the pants, I start to feel uncomfortable and then we break up," Taylor tells
Harper's Bazaar magazine. Calling relationships the "the ultimate collaboration," she adds that "it's wonderful to hand over the reins to your boyfriend when you control so much of these big, high-pressure decisions. That is a huge defining factor in who you choose to be with."

Although the list of
Taylor Swift's alleged exes includes fellow celebs
Taylor Lautner,
John Mayer and
Jake Gyllenhaal, the 22-year-old insists she hasn't given up on finding her fairytale ending just yet.
In a recent interview with
Marie Claire UK magazine, Taylor says she still believes in love "even after it explodes into a million pieces and burns down and you're standing in a pile of the ash of what it once was thinking, 'Why did I have to meet this person, why did this have to happen?' But then, when you make eye contact with someone across the room and it clicks ... bam, you're there. In love again."
While Taylor leave the details of her romantic entanglements to others to discuss, the singer-songwriter, who has most recently been
linked to 18-year-old Conor Kennedy, confesses that falling for someone happens "easily" for her. "Not if it's the wrong person, yes if it's the right person," she explains.

Fans might be surprised to know that
Kelly Clarkson has lived in Nashville -- at least part-time -- for six years. Now, she's looking to make Music City USA her permanent home, telling the
Tennessean newspaper that she's selling her sprawling ranch in Texas to buy a house just outside Nashville.
"[Nashville's] like Texas, but I can get work done, as well," says the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year
nominee. "Everybody's kind of the same speed as Texans, and everybody's really nice and welcoming."
The pop superstar is currently juggling her time between the Lone Star state and a downtown Nashville condo, which sounds like a "Melrose Place" for celebrities. "Every star known to man has a condo there," she says. "[Living there] is the first step of, 'OK, I really like Nashville, but I don't know where I want to live yet, so let's live here for right now.' And then everybody ends up getting a place."
Adept at keeping her feet in both worlds, Kelly confesses she is more comfortable among fellow country stars than those in the rock world. "I do love pop music, but I think I have more of a Southern mentality. Even just emotionally, I'm more that girl. So I get along better with the
Mirandas and the
Blakes and the
Jennifers and
Rebas."

Katy Perry is used to No. 1 -- her
Teenage Dream album earned her five chart-topping singles -- but on
Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list, she'll have to settle for a respectable No. 4. Joining Katy on the yearly inventory of fetching celebs are fellow pop stars
Miley Cyrus (No. 68),
Jennifer Lopez (No. 37) and
Shakira (No. 60), as well as three country singers:
Taylor Swift,
Kellie Pickler and Julianne Hough.
Of the Nashville ladies, Swift leads the pack, coming in at No. 26. Julianne sneaks in under the Top 50, at No. 47, while Kellie landed at No. 72.
This marks the fifth year in a row for both Taylor and Julianne to appear on Maxim's Hot 100 list. They also earned a slot on Maxim's Hottest Women of Country, coming in at No. 2 and No. 4, respectively. While Taylor is thrilled to be noticed, she admits she looks to others for fashion and beauty inspiration -- including a few fellow country celebs.
"I've always loved
Nicole Kidman and
Faith Hill," Taylor
told Teen Vogue. "
Shania Twain always looks beautiful."

Gavin DeGraw is all about trying new things. The singer-songwriter made his dancing
debut Monday night (March 19) on ABC's hit show, 'Dancing With the Stars,' and he just might be making his
country music debut sometime soon, as well.
The singer-songwriter is juggling 'Dancing' with his current tour, which includes several shows with country star
David Nail. Gavin is thrilled to share the stage with the 'Let It Rain' singer. "It's funny, I was just online watching him," he explains to
CMT of discovering David's talent.
"He was doing a performance of a song I put out years back called 'I Don't Wanna Be,' and I was like, 'Wow, man. He is killing that.' He's a really good singer, and that's the biggest compliment you can get as a songwriter is to have somebody sing your tune."

Taylor Swift's voice can now be heard in the animated big-screen
adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic, '
The Lorax.' The singer-songwriter covers the role of Audrey, love interest of Ted Wiggins, voiced by
Zac Efron. But while the 22-year-old did all her acting in a sound booth, instead of in front of cameras, she acknowledges it was a challenging role to fill.
"What people don't think about with character acting in the voice-over form [is] you're making a lot of sounds," Taylor shares with
MTV. "It's very different from when you're singing songs that you wrote. With this, you're sitting there in a booth by yourself having conversations with no one."
Still, the reigning ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year has never been one to shy away from a challenge. "Acting is something I've been fascinated by my entire life," Taylor notes, adding that she would have to have the right role to consider taking time away from her music career.
"I would want to have the time, the ability and the love for something, the love for a character to where I could really make that commitment to it," concedes the songstress.
