Back to '90s Musicians We Wish Would Make a Comeback

For me, Fugazi starts and ends with Ian McKaye -- not to take anything away from the other guys. What always impressed me about the band was the integrity in the message and delivery with which Ian sang. I also admired how he managed the band. From low ticket prices, not selling t-shirts at shows and playing small venues -- they never sold out. I was lucky enough to see them in the '90s at Irving Plaza in New York and still remember hearing the intro to 'Waiting Room' -- still gets me amped. Musically, I always loved the stop-start feel of the songs and the way they incorporated punk, funk and reggae into the songs. A song could start quiet, each member adding flavor, get heavy, get really quiet and always carry a sing-a-long chorus. One of my all-time favorite bands and main reason why I believed I could even play in a band. And I did ... forming and playing guitar in the group Dragpipe, that got signed to Interscope Records.
