New Kids on the Block

The bold style of the '80s still lives today in ironically worn leg-warmers, bright tights and occasionally blown-out hair, but much of it is best left in our fond memories of New Kids on the Block when they were, well, the new kids on the block. Mismatched patterns and oversized jackets were unfortunate, but their hairdos offered the biggest offense. Members Danny Wood and Jonathan Knight sported the Pauly D 'do -- thin on the sides and standing tall and proud atop their heads -- long before the Jersey Shore DJ made it uncool. Donnie Wahlberg was regularly seen with a bandana wrapped around his forehead. Worst of all was Jordan Knight's rat tail, often braided and pulled over his shoulder for the world to see. Joey McIntyre, the token cutie, was one of the pioneers of unkempt boy band curls that paved the way for Jonas Brothers and One Direction to follow-suit. But the old boys of NKOTB can nowadays be seen making up for their fashion sins in form-fitting suits and refined haircuts.
