Back to Boy Band Hair
The Jackson 5
Motown
In the glorious days of big bell-bottoms and bigger hair, no other boy band stood a chance against the fro-licious Jackson 5 brothers and their massive matching 'dos. The band's earliest hits shot up to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, helping them become one of the first young black groups to make a dent in what was a largely white pop industry. The five boys belted out hits like "ABC" and "I’ll Be There" all while sporting varying sized afros that likely had both boys and girls seething with jealousy. Though the band is often best remembered as a launching pad for the late king of pop Michael Jackson, we doubt those afros will ever be forgotten.
