Back to Boy Band Hair

The latest British sensation to take over the universe -- seriously, they probably get a ton of radio play on Mars -- have achieved an awful lot for five boys between the tender ages of 18 and 20. The record-breaking band gained popularity after appearing on 2010's X Factor as solo acts and having judge Simon Cowell usher them into a band that even Sir Paul McCartney called "terrific." The first question upon setting eyes on these guys is often, "Why, God? Why do I like this?" followed by "Who's the cute one with the hair?" It's hard to pinpoint an answer, since it seems an apt description for them all. There's oldest member Louis Tomlinson's deliberately disheveled hair pointing in every direction, and there's bad boy Zayn Malik's quiff that looks like the love child of Bruno Mars and Elvis Presley's 'dos. Finally, there's youngest member (and cougar-hunter) Harry Styles' glorious black mane that evokes an endearing sloth painted on his forehead. Armed with delicious 'dos and catchy tunes, One Direction are going places. (Probably the hair salon for a touch-up.)
