Only child Selena Gomez had always dreamed of having a sibling, and at Thanksgiving in 2011, she shared with fans that her dream was finally coming true. "Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news... My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister :) I'm the happiest girl in the world!" Sadly, Selena's happiness turned to heartbreak when just weeks before Christmas, it was revealed that her mother had lost the baby. "I can't thank you enough for all of your thoughts and prayers," Gomez wrote to her fans the day after Christmas. "I love you all so much," she added. "We hope you and your family had a beautiful Christmas!" The message was signed by Selena, her mom and stepfather, as well as "our guardian angel Scarlett."
