This historic venue has made itself known in the music world for two reasons: 1. For its long list of impressive performers (it was one of the only halls to book the Sex Pistols in 1978) and 2. For its reported paranormal activity. The ballroom, which was built in 1924, is said to be haunted by singer Bob Wills, who was a regular performer there in 1932 with his band, Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys, and also recorded his radio show there. According to TravelOK.com, people have seen the "Take Me Back to Tulsa"'s ghost and a "lady in red" around the venue on different occasions. In a paranormal investigation at the ballroom, orbs (strange lighting seen in photos that paranormal experts believe are evidence of spirits and their energies) were visible in photos. Hot and cold spots have also been felt throughout the hall, and workers say that lights turn and off for no reason.
