The singer/actor had it all in the '70s and '80s. But on the eve of his 18th birthday, everything started to change. Just a few days shy of turning 18, Garrett was under the influence of drugs and alcohol when he crashed his Porsche, leaving his best friend, Roland Winker, a paraplegic. For that incident, Leif was sentenced to 90 days in jail. In 2006, Garrett was arrested again after being found in possession of heroin and Quaaludes, after which he was sentenced to a live-in rehab facility. Sadly, the treatment didn't work on the troubled former idol, and Leif was arrested again in 2010 for drug possession.
