After nearly two seasons as a judge on "American Idol," Jennifer Lopez may be calling it quits. The singer hinted that she may not return to the popular singing competition show in an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

"I really do enjoy it," J.Lo told Ellen of the gig, which reportedly earns her a staggering $12 million each season. Despite the hefty paycheck, the working mother-of-two may have had her fill of the all-consuming commitment. "Now this is my second year -- I don't know if I can go for a third year," she admitted. "I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being 3, but now they're getting more mobile, they're about to go into school ... So I just don't know."

J.Lo's confession follows some warm words of advice she gave to competitor show "The X Factor"s newest judges, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. After hearing Lopez's confession about her uncertain future on "Idol," the advice seems more like a passing of the torch!

Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears: 'X Factor' Judge Gets Advice From 'American Idol' Rival

After both "American Idol"s Jennifer Lopez and "The X Factor"s Britney Spears were slammed for their lack of qualifications by "America's Got Talent"s newest judge Howard Stern, J.Lo has offered up some veteran advice for her future rival, who was officially announced as part of the Season 2 "X Factor" judges' panel alongside fellow newcomer Demi Lovato yesterday (May 14).

"Just be yourself," Lopez advised Britney via ET Online. "I think it's just about really being your true self, not trying to be something that you're not. I feel a little scared for them 'cause I was scared when I started," J.Lo, who will soon wrap her second cycle as an "Idol" judge, admitted.

Howard Stern: Britney Spears Is a 'Train Wreck,' Jennifer Lopez Has No Opinions

Controversial radio host Howard Stern has made a name for himself by always speaking his mind -- that, and asking women to take their tops off on TV. And while the new "America's Got Talent" judge promises to "tone down" his own act for the show's family audience, he insists he'll still be a much better judge than the stars on some of his competitor talent competitions. Stern slammed "The X Factor"s newest addition, Britney Spears and "American Idol"s Jennifer Lopez in one fell swoop during a recent "AGT" press conference.

"Well, I think it's a wonderful decision," Stern said sarcastically of the $15 million deal Spears just signed to become "The X Factor"s newest judge/mentor. "Britney still thinks the earth is flat," the 58-year-old said. "I don't anticipate great opinions from her," he continued before blasting Lopez, too. "I think she's gonna sit there like J.Lo, 'Oh, you're wonderful, you're terrific. You think I can get a perfume endorsement out of this?'"

No Doubt's Gwen Stefani and Tony Kanal are set to appear on "American Idol!" The rockers will take on mentor roles for the competition's top 8 finalists, coaching the 'Idol' hopefuls through the show's upcoming '80s theme week.

Tony and Gwen spent five hours with the "Idol" Season 11 finalists last week in preparation for Wednesday night's (April 4) show. While No Doubt are not an '80s band themselves, the members grew up during the decade and their cover of Talk Talk's 1985 song "It's My Life" became a top-10 hit for the band.

"American Idol" expressed their excitement over the No Doubt singer and bassist's upcoming appearance on their official Twitter account.

'American Idol' Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta has posted a goodbye message to his fans on YouTube. The singer is set to embark on a two-year service as a Mormon missionary.

"It's been a very emotional last week," the 21-year-old singer admitted in the seven-minute video farewell. David explained that his decision to become a missionary was "a very personal thing" as he stumbled over his words, getting noticeably choked up about the major life change. "I hope you guys respect that and you guys have, so I appreciate that," he said to his fans.

Archuleta will travel to South America to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but must first enter a Missionary Training Center in his native Utah to prepare himself for the trip.

Clay Aiken Plastic Surgery: 'American Idol' Star Confesses to Cosmetic Procedure

"American Idol" Season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken wasn't born with that chiseled jawline -- oh no! After much speculation earlier this year, the pop star has finally admitted that he went under the knife to have a little work done!

During an interview on Bravo's "What What Happens Live" last night (March 27), host Andy Cohen asked the unusually fresh-faced 33-year-old the question on everyone's mind, "Have you ever had any plastic surgery?"

"I had a surgery on my jaw for a TMJ [Temporomandibular Joint Disorder] thing, and I had them suck the fat out of my chin while they were in there," Clay willfully admitted. "I said, 'You know what, while I'm already down, go ahead and take the vacuum in there and suck the fat out of my chin!'" he added.

Clay was on a bit of an honesty streak that day. When asked what pop star today wouldn't make it past the first round of "American Idol," he answered, "There's too many, I've stopped listening to them because they can't sing." Ultimately he settled on "Rihanna," pointing out her "pitch problems." Ouch!

'American Idol,' Colton Dixon: 'Emotional' Finalist Performs a Hair Metal Anthem (VIDEO)

As reported by Noisecreep, on last night's (3/14) episode of 'American Idol,' finalist Colton Dixon performed a cover version of White Lion's 'Broken Heart.' Originally released in 1985, and then re-recorded in 1991 for their 'Mane Attraction' album, the 20-year-old contestant chose the song as part of this week's "songs from the year you were born" theme.

'American Idol' alumni Chris Daughtry had advised Dixon to go with something the audience would know, but the young singer still chose the White Lion single, a song that never lit the charts on fire, but is still considered an anthem in hair metal circles.

"I'm an emotional guy when it comes to music and I really like expressing my feelings in song -- it's one reason why I chose 'Broken Heart,'" Dixon told The Hollywood Reporter following Wednesday's show. "I had so much fun with it and loved the way it turned out."

'American Idol,' Jermaine Jones: Finalist Kicked Off Show for Criminal Record

Jermaine Jones is apparently out on 'American Idol.'

The 25-year-old vocal instructor from Pine Hill, N.J., tweeted Tuesday night that he no longer would be on the Fox singing contest.

He wrote on his official 'Idol' Twitter account: "Awww I will no longer b on the show." The post and Jones' official 'Idol' Twitter account were later deleted.

A Fox spokeswoman declined to comment on the matter or confirm his tweet.

The so-called "gentle giant," as he was dubbed by 'Idol' host Ryan Seacrest, was among the show's viewer-selected top 13 finalists after the judges gave him a last-minute spot among the 11th season's top 13 male semifinalists.

He was among the bottom three vote-getters last week after performing Stevie Wonder's 'Knocks Me Off My Feet' but advanced to the group of top 12 singers.

"I was definitely pushing toward a no when he got the offer. I thought it was a little cheesy ... I didn't realize the heart he was going to put into it. That's really him, and I have a tendency to want to keep him private. It's daunting to share him like that." -- Steven Tyler's daughter, Chelsea Tallarico

Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler's 23-year-old daughter Chelsea Tallarico admits she tried to discourage her famous father from signing on for his current 'American Idol' gig. But as she tells New York Post's Page Six, the model changed her views on the matter when she saw how much her dad loved his new job.
